Britney’s paparazzo ex jailed over hit-and-run

Britney's paparazzo ex jailed over hit-and-runBritney Spears’ ex Adnan Ghalib has been sentenced to 45 days’ prison for a hit-and-run crash.

The photographer received the county jail term after he allegedly ran over a court official who was trying to serve him with a restraining order filed by the singer’s father.

Ghalib, who pleaded no contest to a charge of leaving the scene of an accident, has already spent one day behind bars – but will be forced to serve the remaining 44 days of his sentence.

He will also be placed on formal probation for 36 months, will do 45 days of hard labour and has to complete 52 weeks of anger-management classes.

Ghalib, who struck up a brief relationship with Britney in December 2007, was accused of driving into Ram Moskowitz in February this year.

The process server was trying to hand Ghalib a restraining order, filed by Jamie Spears, telling him to stay away from Britney.

According to the prosecution, Moskowitz was forced to jump onto the bonnet of the photographer’s Mercedes to avoid being pinned against a van – but fell off and broke his wrist.

Ghalib was initially charged with three felonies – assault with a deadly weapon, battery and hit-and-run – but the first two charges were dropped as part of a plea deal.

The paparazzo received his jail sentence at the Van Nuys courthouse in Los Angeles County.
